  • Terminal degree in the biomedical or related fields
  • At least one year’s postdoctoral experience in a related field

  • Candidate with a PhD in another field will be considered providing they have 2 years of postdoctoral training in the biomedical or biological sciences and have demonstrated successful contributions to biomedical research
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program
  • Participate in departmental teaching at the undergraduate, graduate or professional levels
Desired Qualifications
  • Eligibility to participate in an NIH funded mentored career development program at West Virginia University
  • Ability to apply for funding from the Visual Sciences Center of Biomedical Research Excellence
